Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and accomplished IT Program Manager, Expert to lead and manage multiple programs across IT. This executive role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in delivering complex projects within defined timelines, budgets, and scope. You are adept in managing stakeholder expectations, fostering seamless cross-functional collaboration, and driven by a passion for innovative problem-solving.
PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Pay range: $122,000.00 - $173,800.00
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and our Oakland Headquarters or San Ramon Valley Conference Center based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate various IT projectsto ensure they align with business goals and technology strategic objectives. This includes managing project interdependencies and ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Extensive experience in Lean Portfolio Management, SAFe, and Lean Agile methodologies.
- Proven track record in leading enterprise-wide waste elimination and transformation initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategic plansfor IT programs, including setting project goals, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage program and project budgets, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently and projects are completed within the allocated budget.
- Identify potential risksto the success of projects and develop comprehensive mitigation plans to address these risks proactively.
- Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication among team members from different departments to achieve project objectives.
- Regularly update stakeholderson project progress, changes, and any issues that arise, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
- Track project milestonesand assess the performance of projects to ensure they meet the set objectives and deliver the expected outcomes.
- Ensure project teams have the necessary resources, including personnel, technology, and tools, for timely and efficient execution of their tasks.
- Lead teams and leadership through Agile and Lean adoption by facilitating workshops, coaching sessions, and hands-on support to embed principles, practices, and mindsets across the organization.
- Use metrics, feedback loops, and structured problem-solving techniques to identify bottlenecks, optimize flow, and foster a culture of experimentation and learning.
- Provide tailored coaching to teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and executives to strengthen Agile capabilities, improve collaboration, and align delivery with strategic goals.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, communication plans, risk logs, and status reports, to ensure all project information is accurately recorded and accessible.
- Ensure robust project governance to ensure compliance with internal audit requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovationin the delivery of IT programs by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Job-related experience, 8 years
Desired:
- Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience in PPM Tool such as Planisware
- PMP from PMI
- SAFe Agilist
- SAFe Lean Portfolio Management
