Web Designer/Senior Web Designer

C3 AI is seeking a Web Designer specializing in Figma-based design systems, component libraries, and modern web layouts. This position reports to the Creative Director within the corporate marketing department located in our Redwood City headquarters. The candidate must have exceptional skills in creating visually compelling, highly functional web designs that translate seamlessly into development. Strong collaboration with developers, a deep understanding of responsive design, and expertise in building scalable design systems are essential for this role. The ability to deliver clean, well-structured designs with refined typographic hierarchy is critical to supporting C3 AI's type-led brand. An online portfolio of relevant work for review is required, demonstrating your experience with web UI/UX design, component-driven workflows, and advanced layout composition.

Responsibilities:

• Design, refine, and maintain web layouts, design systems, and Figma component libraries that ensure brand and UI consistency across the C3 AI web ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensureaccurate, high-quality translation of design into code, including providing detailed specs and design documentation.
• Develop wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for responsive websites and landing pages.
• Create scalable, reusable UI elements that streamline workflow and improve design-to-development efficiency.
• Ensure designs are visually compelling, user-centered, andoptimized for performance, accessibility, and responsive breakpoints.
• Apply strong typographic skills toestablish clear hierarchy, readability, and brand consistency across all layouts.
• Partner with marketing, product, and content teams to translate strategic goals into engaging web experiences.
• Maintain organized design files, version control, and naming conventions to ensure efficient collaboration and scalability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a design-related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of professional web design experience in an agency or corporate marketing environment.
• Expert-levelproficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, and design system creation/maintenance.
• Strong portfolioshowcasing advanced layout skills, component-driven design, and responsive UI work.
• Proven ability to create clean, well-structured designs with strong typographic hierarchy.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks for effective design-to-dev collaboration (coding notrequired).
• Experience designing for accessibility standards (WCAG) and multiple device breakpoints.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with motion design, micro-interactions, and animation principles for web.
