Day & Zimmerman is accepting resumes for Safety Supervisor - TVA Allen Aero Derivative Project.

Job Summary:

This role is accountable for ensuring compliance with TVA, federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as Day & Zimmerman safety policies and procedures. Primary responsibilities are to provide direction on technical matters and assist field leadership with ensuring D&Z's core value of safety is visible in the behaviors of the organization. Reports to project Safety Lead.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Monitor all work activities for safe behavior and proper PPE.
  • Assist with daily safety meetings & regular site inspections to ensure safe work practices.
  • Identify potential hazards, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution of safety issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation, including incident reports, near-miss reports, and inspection records.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to site personnel to promote safety awareness and compliance.
  • Train all employees on zero injury safety culture.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Minimum 3 years of safety leadership experience in power generation, preferably in combined cycle, aero derivative, or other gas turbine projects.

OSHA 510/511, their equivalents or degree in safety

Experience working on TVA projects or in union craft environments is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and TVA safety standards and regulations.

Preferences:

Proven track record of building and maintaining a strong site safety culture.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-risk environment and respond quickly to changing conditions.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $54,000- $154,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
