Position Summary

Are you someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a creative eye, and takes pride in craftsmanship? The University of New Mexico is seeking a Sign Tech to join our team! In this role, you'll help design, fabricate, and install signage that supports the university's mission and enhances the campus experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Operates computer and vinyl cutting equipment to create signs.

* Constructs and paints sign boards and frames.

* Transfers vinyl text to sign material.

* Operates engraving equipment to create name plates and signs.

* Performs snow removal duties, as required.

* Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
  • All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.


Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
