EMPLOYER: Delta Dental Insurance Company TITLE: Manager, Application Development Location: 1130 Sanctuary Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30009; Must live within reasonable commute of HQ and appear in office as required. Salary Range: $179,000 /yr - $186,671/yr Job Description: The Manager, Application Development will be responsible for facilitating and directing the design, development and maintenance of platform services technology and functions to ensure IT foundational and modernization goals are met. Specifically, the Manger will be responsible for DevOps and cloud-based initiatives. The leader in this position provides both tactical and strategic direction for the Platform Engineering team in collaboration with Product, Application Development, Infrastructure and Operations. Monitors and oversees initiatives and deliverables including but not limited to completion of comprehensive definition of direction, scope and objectives; development of work plans, schedules and budgets; determination of staffing requirements; definition of deliverables; and establishment of design review and quality assurance checkpoints for all aspects of the initiatives. Drives increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse. Reviews, manages, and resolves complex and highly complex problems involving one or more teams, systems or functions. Undertakes and oversees the process of defining problems and implementing solutions. Influences decision making in functional and technical designs through active partnership with cross-functional teams, Influences decision making in Technology and Product Roadmap(s) through active partnership with Product and Business stakeholders. Provides ongoing education to the team to ensure proactive modernization and awareness of emerging technologies. Provides leadership and documentation in support of enterprise adoption. Facilitates DevOps needs across Platform Engineering in collaboration with environment management, release management and Operations. Prepares business plans, IT plans, technology roadmaps, and technical project proposals. Must live within reasonable commute of HQ and appear in office as required. RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and five (5) years of experience in Computer applications, computer systems, application development, information technology or related role or in the job offered. Base Pay Information The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
