Hazardous Materials Information Specialist

Key Role:

Supports a Federal government information center as a regulatory analyst, using regulations, policies, information systems, and client subject matter experts to provide real-time responses to inquires related to the management of hazardous materials. Participates in a comprehensive training program in hazardous materials regulations and work to continuously refine knowledge and expertise. Performs updates and maintenance on multiple databases to support the operation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with transportation, hazardous materials management, environmental science or policy, or customer service work, including internships or volunteer work

  • Experience supporting a regulatory information center or hotline

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to show coursework in hazardous materials management, transportation, environmental science or policy, chemistry, engineering, or biology

  • Ability to show fluency in Spanish

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trustor Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with databases or other information management systems

  • Ability to learn complex information

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
