*Location*: Richardson, TX (Fully On-Site) *Employment Type*: W2 *Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret preferred)* *Certifications Required: Security+ (Sec+)* *Schedule*: Monday-Friday, First Shift *Travel*: Up to 10% domestic travel *Duration*: 1-year contract with potential for extension *About the Role* We're seeking a highly skilled Sr. Network Engineer/Architect to lead the design, deployment, and integration of complex network architectures across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. This position is fully on-site in Richardson, TX, and requires an active Secret Clearance and Security+ certification on day one. You'll be responsible for developing secure, scalable solutions aligned with Zero Trust principles, driving automation across multi-vendor infrastructures, and providing technical leadership for large-scale engineering initiatives. Direct access to the hiring manager allows for collaborative candidate discussions and streamlined feedback. *Primary Responsibilities* * Lead architecture, design, deployment, and integration of physical and virtual network infrastructures * Administer and maintain virtualization platforms * Operate within cloud and hybrid enterprise environments, ensuring infrastructure and boundary security * Translate business requirements into deployable Zero Trust and hybrid cloud solutions * Develop end-to-end network automation and orchestration across multi-vendor environments * Provide technical design support for systems and software specifications, prototyping, and development * Guide large-scale network engineering projects, including performance, cost, schedule, and training * Contribute to proposal development and serve as a subject matter expert in internal and customer reviews * Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers * Advise engineering managers, program managers, and product line leaders * Manage technical risks and execute mitigation strategies * Establish and maintain technical baselines and participate in change review boards *Required Qualifications* * Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret is a plus) * Security+ (Sec+) or equivalent security certification * U.S. Citizenship * STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience (or 3+ years with an advanced degree) * Strong background in networking, desktop support, server administration, and virtualization (e.g., VMware) * Experience with Linux systems administration * Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as RMF and DFARS *Preferred Qualifications* * Additional technology certifications (e.g., Systems Administration, Cloud) * Experience with government security protocols and frameworks *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
