As a Principal Software Engineering Manager you will architect, build, and guide the delivery of innovative automation services that empower both makers and enterprises. You'll lead initiatives spanning platform engineering and advanced AI development, applying your deep technical expertise to solve complex, large-scale challenges and define the strategic direction of our agentic automation platforms. ResponsibilitiesGuides partnership with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project manager, technical lead) to determine user requirements within and across teams. Guides teams and leads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform. Optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI). Leads efforts for creation and conducting of experimentation to determine the effectiveness of changes, monitors developments for prototyping and testing products, interprets results, and decides on next steps or ship decision from results. Drives identification of the correct metrics for experimentation in determining improving customer value. Guides team and acts as an expert for Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and monitors other engineers across product lines, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions. Leads product development and scaling to customer requirements and applies best practices for meeting scaling needs and performance expectations and holds accountability for products that do not meet expectations.
