Job Description
LOCATION: Bloomfield, Connecticut
BASE RATE PER HOUR: $31.35

Job Overview:

TheWarehouse InventoryCoordinator will collaborate with the department manager and supervisor to ensure that work is assigned and completed efficiently. This role involves receivingfinished goods, raw ingredients, packaging, and bulk items, ensuring proper storage and rotation, maintaining inventory using the SAP system, and coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries. Thewarehouse Inventory Coordinatorwill also provide necessary supplies, train new employees, enforce company policies, and manage area housekeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shift Responsibilities:
    • Start time: As early as 5 AM (subject to change based on business needs).
    • Overtime as needed, especially during holidays.
    • Good attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Shipping& Inventory Management:
    • Receive all inboundfinished goods, ingredients, packaging, and bulk items.
    • Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries with purchasing and remote warehouses.
    • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliation to ensure alignment with system records.
    • Maintain accurate inventory counts using SAP.
    • Ensure proper storage, rotation, and delivery of items towarehouseareas.
    • Monitor product quality and ensure that only acceptable products are shipped.
    • Track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
    • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, shipped quantities, and discrepancies for management review.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    • Adhere to warehouse Safety Policies and Practices.
    • Accurately complete and submit necessary documentation (HACCP, SAP, CTS).
    • Adhere to GMP and Food Safety Policies and Practices.
  • Equipment & Safety:
    • Perform safety checks on all equipment.
    • Operate forklifts (certification required).
    • Follow JSA guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Empty trash as needed.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with GMP and Good Housekeeping Practices (GHPs).
    • Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
    • Fulfill shipping tasks when needed.
    • Coordinate with production, procurement, and sales teams to ensure inventory needs are met and stock levels are maintained.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • College degree preferred, or 2-3 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong computer proficiency ( SAP,MS Office).
    • Basic Mathematical skills required.
    • Ability to train employees on industrial equipment and processes.
    • Strong communication skills for managing vendors, scheduling, and interplant shipments.
    • Forklift certification required; CDL preferred.
    • Work in fast pace environment.

Work Conditions:

  • Shift:8-12-hour shifts with 2 fifteen-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Environment:
    • Noise levels: Minimal to moderate.
    • Temperature: Controlled.
    • Lighting: Sufficient.
    • Potential for slippery footing.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
