Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Advanced Manufacturing team. This role is pivotal in driving the successful delivery of complex, mission-critical, and industrial construction projects across the United States. You will lead field execution, manage subcontractor performance, uphold safety standards, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Field Execution

  • Lead site-based construction operations, overseeing field superintendents, subcontractors, and administrative staff.
  • Develop site-specific construction execution strategies aligned with master schedules and critical milestones.
  • Facilitate pre-construction planning and kick-off meetings to review safety protocols, logistics, scope, and resource allocation.
  • Manage daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to sequencing, permitting, and quality expectations.

Construction Management & Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to manage scope, cost, risk, procurement, and schedule performance.
  • Ensure proper contract administration, including daily reports, subcontractor coordination, RFI/submittal review, and change management.
  • Drive accountability among subcontractors and vendors, ensuring alignment with design intent, project specifications, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead progress meetings and ensure timely resolution of field conflicts, interface issues, and design clarifications.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Serve as the on-site Safety Leader, reinforcing a proactive safety culture and compliance with company and client safety protocols.
  • Conduct job hazard analyses, toolbox talks, and ensure site safety audits are completed and acted upon.
  • Enforce construction quality standards and participate in QA/QC inspections, punch walks, and system verifications.

Cost Control & Client Engagement

  • Support the evaluation and validation of subcontractor cost impacts, change orders, and claims.
  • Participate in procurement processes and assist in developing bid scopes, leveling, and vendor negotiations.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison at site level, providing progress updates and addressing concerns to maintain client satisfaction.

Commissioning & Project Closeout

  • Coordinate turnover packages, commissioning activities, system startup, and site acceptance processes.
  • Ensure project documentation is completed per company and client standards, including as-builts, warranties, and O&M manuals.
  • Lead site demobilization and support final financial closeout.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or GED/ high school equivalency) and 10 years of relevant experience, OR Associate'sdegree in related discipline and 6 years' relevant experience ORBachelor's degree and 4 years' relevant experience
  • 3+ years on industrial, mission-critical/data center or advanced manufacturing projects.
  • Proven ability to manage MEP-intensive scopes of work with fast-track schedules and complex logistics.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents, plans, and specifications.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, construction scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or MS Project), and construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification or similar safety training.
  • LEED accreditation or familiarity with sustainable construction practices.
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and data center operational requirements (e.g., redundancy levels, Uptime Institute tiers).

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interface confidently with clients, designers, and field teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solver with a proactive mindset and commitment

Salary Transparency

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $82,000 - $101,000 annually and does not include bonuses, overtime or other forms of compensation or benefits. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience.
