Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that internal and externally produced parts comply with all specified quality standards. This role involves supporting the quality control process by maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal and industry standards. This position is essential in helping our organization maintain product quality and meet regulatory requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize inspection documentation, including test results, NCRs, and CoCs.
  • Prepare quality records such as First Article Inspections (FAIs) and Certificates of Conformance (CoCs).
  • Track incoming inspection data and help identify quality trends.
  • Coordinate document control for SOPs, checklists, and work instructions.
  • Support internal audits and customer inspections by providing quality records.
  • Assist with corrective actions and root cause analysis processes (CAPA).
  • Ensure documentation complies with AS9100, ISO 9001, and company QMS requirements.
  • Help manage calibration schedules for inspection equipment.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers as needed.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or other QMS standards.
  • Familiarity with quality documentation such as FAIs, CoCs, and NCRs.
  • Working knowledge of ERP or QMS software (SAP, Oracle, Plex, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of inspection tools and measurement data.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
