Configuration Management Lead that will be responsible for the maintenance of program technical data, development technical data, parts lists and BOMs. Key responsibilities include: ticketing coordination, documentation implementation, cross-functional communication, issue tracking and process updates.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detailed-oriented Configuration Management Lead that will be responsible for the maintenance of program technical data, development technical data, parts lists and BOMs. Ultra Maritime is a Department of Defense Company, therefore Ultra shall follow Military Standards for Configuration Management include MIL-HDBK61A and MIL-STD31000 Technical Data Package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ticketing Coordination: Assign CM tasks to the team, Estimate hours for CM tasks
  • Admin the ticket system, PDM system and parts database
  • Documentation Implentation: Create workflows for documentation release, Write configuration management plans, Make updates to BOMs, Release Engineering Change Orders
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Coordinate Change Control Boards, confirm approvals from required departments, prepare data packages to be sent to end user
  • Audits and Reports: Assist in configuration audits and participate in meetings with the end customer, create metrics reports as need based on program request
  • Issue Tracking: Monitor and log technical or operational issues related to ticketing, escalate where needed, and follow through to resolution.
  • Process Optimization: Contribute to the continuous improvement of ticketing workflows, guest access experience, and data accuracy across systems.
  • This role will report to the Mechanical and Configuration Management Manager and be part of the configuration management team. This is a dynamic role that has potential to grow to an management role.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of MIL-HDBK 61A (Engineer Change Proposals, Request for Variance)
  • Worked with PDM Systems such as Agile, Solidworks PDM, Windchill, or others
  • Windows Suite (PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Word)
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD31000 Technical Data Package
  • 4+ Years of Experience in a field related to this role
  • Bachelor's Degree in a field related to role (Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Software)
  • May be required to maintain security clearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a proven ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative, can-do attitude.
  • Enthusiastic about learning in a fast-paced, global event environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Worked with Epicore, Oracle or similar Purchasing/Lifecycle Tools
  • Knowledge of Physical Configuration Audits
  • Department of Defense Experience
  • Knowledge of Configuration Status Accounting
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Solidworks PDM, PowerBI, and ServiceDesk Plus
