Auria is looking to hire a Senior Systems Engineer to support the
JAM program. This role is REMOTE.
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated
Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our core IT infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability to support business operations. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in systems architecture, cloud technologies, automation, and security best practices.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise systems including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.
- Lead large-scale infrastructure projects including migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
- Implement and maintain system monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Network, Security, DevOps, Developers) to support business and application needs.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and act as a technical escalation point.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as needed.
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or Infrastructure roles.
- Expertise in Windows/Linux server environments.
- Strong experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with security standards and practices (patching, firewalls, IAM).
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, RHCE, or similar.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps toolchains.
PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $125,000 - $160,000
