Cisco seeks an experienced Director of Executive Communications to lead the communications strategy for the EVP and Chief Customer Experience Officer. This role shapes the executive's external and internal voice, drives high-impact customer and partner engagement, and builds visibility across the market. You'll oversee a small team and collaborate cross-functionally to support C-level messaging, events, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead external communications, including media relations, speaking engagements, and event strategy.
  • Partner with PR, brand, and account teams to craft messaging, coordinate customer/partner events, and ensure alignment.
  • Drive internal communications for the CX organization, managing all-hands meetings, leadership offsites, and message cascades.
  • Manage operations, communications calendar, and reporting frameworks to track impact.
  • Plan and support executive travel and events, providing on-the-ground communications expertise.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team; foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing strategic counsel and executive presence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15+ years' experience in executive or strategic communications, preferably in enterprise technology.
  • 5+ years' experience managing and leading teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven success building executive platforms and delivering strategic messaging across diverse channels.
  • Outstanding writing, storytelling, and message development skills.
  • Strong operational, planning, and cross-functional execution abilities.
  • Experience supporting C-level leaders in dynamic environments.
  • Willingness to travel for executive events and engagements.
