Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Clinician to work Full-Time days providing individual treatment, group therapy, routine and urgent, triage, case consultation, and referral coordination, to individual with serious and persistent mental health diagnoses. They provide specialized psychotherapy services to individuals who meet risk criteria and intensive support for mental health concerns.

This position is ideal for clinicians that excel in crisis situations and ability to build rapport with vulnerable populations. This individual will also quickly engage clients for effective assessment and determination of clinical needs. This position works within a team of Peers, Nurses, Case Managers and Mental Health and Substance Use treatment professionals, providing ongoing support to individuals with mental health/dual diagnosis.

Supervision required for NYS license/certification is provided at no cost to Helio Health employee's.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm

All Full-Time, Licensed Counselors/Therapists are eligible for up to a Sign-On incentive up to $8,000 depending upon licensure/credentials!

Pay: $75,000/year



Responsibilities

    Maintain a caseload of clients receiving outpatient behavioral health services
  • Provide comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop collaborative, trauma informed and person centered treatment plans
  • Off psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and coordination with internal and external supports
  • Provide support through counseling and de-escalation techniques
  • Engage in regular clinical supervision and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure integrated care.
  • Provide case collaboration with other members of the care team to determine appropriate level of care
  • Coordinating and referring clients to the appropriate level of care through internal and external referrals
  • Provide crisis intervention and coordination with internal and external crisis supports as needed
  • Ability to navigate individual, family, group dynamics at time of intervention
  • Assist with the training of staff and student interns as assigned.
  • Knowledge of community resources


Qualifications

  • LCSW, LMHC-D Required. Master Degree Required.
  • Experience working in high stress/crisis environments
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical considerations in working with the SPMI population
  • Valid New York State Driver License, access to reliable transportation
  • Two years' experience in the Human Services field working with individuals with co-occurring MH/SUD disorders, high-risk populations, or individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) preferred.
  • Some proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel), EHR/EMRs (e.g. Avatar, Smartcare StreamlineNetSmart, Eipc) and/or Health Monitoring Systems (e.g. OASAS CDS, HealthEConnections, PSYCKES)
