FTE: 1.0 Shift: Day/Swing Schedule: Monday - Friday

The position will begin with a standard Monday through Friday dayshift. However, as the program grows and needs evolve, candidates will need to adapt to a swing-shift schedule that provides adequate coverage. More information on this will be discussed at interview.

PACT (Program for Assertive Community Treatment) is an intensive and highly integrated approach for community mental health service delivery. The multidisciplinary team shares a caseload of individuals who experience symptoms of the most serious forms of mental illness, predominantly but not exclusively the schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Many individuals also experience substance abuse, victimization and trauma, psychiatric hospitalizations, arrests and incarceration, homelessness, and additional significant challenges. The symptoms and complications of mental illnesses lead to serious functioning difficulties in several areas of life, often including work, social relationships, residential independence, money management, and physical health and wellness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including mental health professionals, nurses, prescribers, peer counselors, SUD specialists, and vocational staff.
  • Deliver recovery-oriented services such as case management, treatment planning, resource assistance, crisis intervention, and group/individual services.
  • Assist clients in identifying and accessing resources and collaborate with community resources on behalf of clients.
  • Assist clients in the development of healthy coping mechanisms in individual or group settings.
  • Conduct risk assessments, develop and implement safety plans, and provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed, including facilitating access to inpatient facilities for behavioral health care.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients in their homes and community environments.
  • Participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation and deliver after-hours support as needed.

This position requires regular driving and mobility in community settings.

Position Summary

The Supervisor of Behavioral Health provides clinical, administrative, and staff supervision for assigned program or service which meet community standards of professional behavioral health practices and evidence-based practice standards per the Washington State Health Care Authority. The Supervisor distributes work assignments; coaches to achieve program goals; monitors staff performance; provides clinical supervision and consultations and maintains a client caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of assigned area ensuring program requirements, goals and standards are met; assists with monitoring contract/service, program budget, and the development and implementation of program policies, standards and procedures
  • Supervises assigned staff, providing guidance and support to ensure quality of care and adherence to professional and organizational standards
  • Develops, maintains, and reviews clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, insurance bills, and other related records ensuring compliance with agency policies and regulations
  • Assists with the expansion of assigned program(s)
  • Conducts quality-assurance activities and program reviews

Requirements

  • Master's degree in human services
  • Designated as a Mental Health Professional under the current applicable Washington Administrative Code (WAC)
  • WA-DOH MH certification required; License preferred
  • Three years of experience in mental health
  • Previous experience in a leadership or a supervisor role
  • Current Washington State Driver's License: and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state
  • Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $87,818.00 - $126,381.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
