What this job involves: JLL is seeking a dynamic Electrical/Carpentry Planner to join our national Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) team. This specialized role will focus on planning and scheduling electrical and carpentry maintenance activities while supporting our growing Life Sciences Division, providing essential services to a large client base.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Coordinate electrical and carpentry maintenance planning, scheduling, implementation, and documentation
  • Manage electrical and carpentry work orders, supplier relationships, and procurement of specialized materials
  • Create detailed work plans for electrical systems and carpentry projects, including labor requirements and time estimates
  • Oversee system training, database management, and performance reporting for electrical and carpentry work
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, carpentry standards, and Environment Health and Safety regulations
  • Develop strong client relationships to facilitate efficient electrical and carpentry operations
  • Collaborating with Facility Managers and technicians on electrical and carpentry work planning and scheduling
  • Coordinate logistics with all stakeholders (MRO, janitorial, purchasing, customers, etc.)
  • Conduct on-site visits to gather accurate information for electrical and carpentry work orders
  • Procure electrical parts, lumber, hardware, and related supplies through the MRO process
  • Interface with clients, visitors, and guests regarding electrical and carpentry projects
  • Maintain and update CMMS work order system with particular attention to electrical and carpentry task documentation
  • Monitor performance metrics for electrical and carpentry work and advise management of potential SLA violations
  • Provide training and support to staff and clients on CMMS and other systems related to electrical and carpentry maintenance
  • Ensure contract compliance and quality control for electrical and carpentry work
  • Perform administrative tasks and special projects related to electrical and carpentry operations as needed

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, day shift. 700AM - 3:30PM

Required Skills:

  • 1-4 years of administrative experience in electrical, carpentry, or facilities management (IFM environment preferred)
  • Understanding basic electrical systems, carpentry techniques, and building maintenance principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Word)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities particularly related to electrical and carpentry work planning
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask across various electrical and carpentry projects
  • Professional demeanor and team player attitude
  • Ability to make informed decisions with discretion
  • Positive "can-do" attitude and self-starter mentality
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced Life Sciences setting

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with electrical systems, carpentry methods, building systems and equipment preferred, but willingness to learn is essential
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, carpentry plans, drawings, work orders, sketches, blueprints, and technical manuals, or willingness to learn these skills
  • Knowledge of electrical code requirements, carpentry best practices, building system types and equipment, including client-specified preventive maintenance schedules and tasks, or enthusiasm to acquire this knowledge
  • Experience with CMMS and other facility management software specifically for tracking electrical and carpentry maintenance

Estimated total compensation for this position:

75,000.00 - 95,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
