What to Expect

Consider before submitting an application:

This position is expected to start around January 2026 and continue through the Fall term (ending approximately May 2026) orcontinuinginto Summer 2026 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

About the team

The Responsible Sourcing & Supplier Due Diligence Team is looking for a highly skilled and motivated specialist to support our Supply Chain Organization group with a focus on supplier financial health management. You will be part of a team that is positioned independently from any commodity and serves as an internal supply chain optimization resource globally.

Your primary responsibility in this role will be the development of Tesla's supplier financial health program. The role requires strong cross-functional working relationships with our supply chain, finance, and legal teams. You will interact with procurement stakeholders regularly and hence need to clearly communicate goals, ask the right questions, collect feedback, and provide guidance. You will require a sharp business focus, a collaborative style of working, and a proactive and critical mindset to execute both operational tasks as well as strategize program improvements. Tesla is a fast moving, dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key attributes. An ideal candidate is a self-starter with extensive knowledge of financial analysis and risk mitigation best practices.

What You'll Do
  • Recommend supplier financial health risk mitigation best practices

  • Support development and documentation of risk mitigation plans

  • Conduct scenario analyses to identify and anticipate financial health risks and trends

  • Initiate, track and escalate completion of financial health assessments

  • Support interpretation of financial health assessment results

  • Provide training on end-to-end supplier financial health risk mitigation process, explaining concepts in simple terms to audiences without a financial background

  • Lead development of program goals, guidelines and processes


What You'll Bring
  • Currently pursuing aBachelor's or Master'sDegree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability

  • Financial risk management experience in Automotive, consulting and/or tech industry

  • Ability to analyze financial statements to determine if a company has strong or weak financial health

  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage demanding deadlines

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

    Expected Compensation
    $24.88 - $42.61/hour + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
