Short Intro and About the Job

The Sr/Associate Brand Manager will be a key member to our Brands team, who can adapt to new environments and teams and has the passion to work on a brand that will bring a positive impact to the world. This role will include managing high impact projects, including but not limited to product renovation, line extension launches, brand design, enterprise strategies, and the day-to-day business activity (e.g., sales performance analysis, volume forecasting, budget management, etc.).

The ideal candidate will be both analytical and strategic, able to turn data findings into strategically told stories to influence senior leaders. They will demonstrate leadership of their responsibilities and projects, acting pragmatically and influencing across the organization to deliver with excellence. They will be a growth-minded leader who demonstrates grit, thinks and acts in a disciplined, yet disruptive way, and who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This role is part of a rotation program with the first assignment being in Plant Based as the Sr/Associate Brand Manager of Plant Based Beverages/Ambient Away From Home (AFH) and can be based in either of our HQ locations: Louisville, CO or White Plains, NY. The expected duration of each rotation is between 12 and 24 months, and will be determined by a combination of matching development opportunities and exposure to different marketing competencies, and meeting business needs and priorities.

In the first assignment, the Sr/Associate Brand Manager may be responsible for, but not limited to:

    Lead portfolio growth and optimization projects: Support and drive the Ambient (Shelf Stable) and Away From Home business by leading projects such as line and pack extensions; product and pack renovations; and driving portfolio optimization via analysis
  • Create and manage selling initiatives and channel development efforts: examples include creative (on-channel activation, sell sheets), operational (bulk machines) and business-building (trade show support, sampling events)
  • Strengthen omni-channel execution for assigned business with cross-functional owners, including programs across shopper, consumer promotions, digital shelf, and eCommerce
  • Drive insight into action: Own the Monthly Business Review (MBR) for assigned business, delivering insightful analysis of business performance to provide insight to the team and inform decision-making
  • Own assigned budget with an eye toward strategic deployment and optimization
  • Facilitate connection and strategic alignment between the brand teams, AFH sales and the commercial organization to ultimately drive new growth opportunities and better manage the existing business
The Sr/Associate Brand Manager may be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Identifying key trends and analyzing market
  • Developing strong stories to sell in product ideas both internally and
  • Developing opportunities to explore innovation trends in the real
  • Developing total enterprise strategies and multi-year platform
  • Serve as the "hub-of-the wheel to drive Collaboration with cross functional teams to develop and execute multiple projects in parallel
  • Building effective relationships with key internal and external
  • Manage budget in close collaboration with finance and
  • Partner with Brand team and key cross-functional stakeholders to manage media campaigns and Integrated marketing execution, tracking, reporting and
  • Leading critical portfolio management projects (including but not limited to line extensions, packaging updates, and minor renovations) with cross-functional
  • Serve as the voice of the business by leading data analytics and reporting efforts; performing consumer, customer, and competitive analysis; monitoring key performance metrics; and managing ad-hoc
  • Responsible for P&L oversight, forecasting and GPS/demand planning with guidance from Brand Manager.
  • Contribute strong POV on media strategies and consumer targeting to guide tactical planning efforts.
  • Manage marketing activities inclusive of owned, earned, and paid media channel

The base compensation range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000 commensurate with experience. About You

  • MBA Required or 3+ years of marketing experience in lieu of MBA
  • 2+ years of brand management required
  • Food & Beverage CPG experience preferred
  • Must reside in New York or Denver Metro area
  • Agility: ability to adapt quickly to different teams and Brand missions, driving for performance and providing business continuity.
  • Flexibility: open to supporting various brands (of various size/scope, etc) and consistently changing focus area (brand/BU) via short-term assignments
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills (written and verbal)
  • Proven leadership capability
  • Collaborative team player, with experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong business acumen
  • Results oriented and able to respond quickly to changing marketplace dynamics
  • Strategic influencing abilities
  • Ability to analyze / lead the business from a marketing and general management perspective
  • Strong MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
