Pay Transparency:

The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, executive control and completion of projects, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments, and goals of the organization,
  • Manage multiple projects as assigned by the AVP, PMO,
  • Projects will be complex engagements that support clinical, financial, and technical areas,
  • Lead all projects according to RWJBH PMO methodologies and standards and deliver on-time, on-budget, and within scope,
  • Create and maintain well-written, organized project documentation,
  • Maintain effective communication with project team, stakeholders, supervisor, and Executive Management to ensure all levels are appropriately informed of project progress and issues,
  • Maintain a level of leadership and mentorship on projects to garner respect and confidence from project team and stakeholders and encourage teamwork,
  • Work independently, with limited supervision and with quantifiable and qualitative results,
  • Demonstrate knowledge of complex environments and scenarios and the impact between them at a system and operational level,
  • Maintain a level of understanding of RWJBH Enterprise goals and IT goals and how they both are supported and impacted by portfolio of projects

Education:

Preferred: Bachelor s Degree

Minimum: Associate s Degree with five or more years of related experience

Work Experience:

  • Preferred: 5+ years of project management experience with large scale projects; 3+ years of Information Technology & Services or Healthcare consulting or equivalent experience
  • Minimum: Five year relevant experience in project management
  • Experience in MS Office Suite, Project Management Information System/Project Planning tool

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Preferred: PMP Certification or working towards certification,
  • Active Member of PMI or similar organization

Job Specific Requirements

  • Plans, leads, and implements medium to large enterprise initiatives, including system selection projects
  • Communicates and works effectively with project team and vendors to define and document project requirements
  • Identifies project resources necessary and partners with Resource Managers, Department Leads, and vendors to assign individual responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains project plans and schedules, including milestones, and revises as project dictates
  • Creates and maintains well-written and effective project documentation in accordance with RWJBH PMO standards including requirements, scope, charter, investment summary, status reports, issues, risks, lessons learned, and other necessary project documents
  • Communicates project progress and relevant project information to all levels appropriately, including project team, stakeholders, supervisor, IT management, and site/department resources
  • Tracks, mitigates, and communicates all issues and risks to maintain project schedule, budget, and scope
  • Conducts and facilitates project meetings with identified resources from both RWJBH and vendors
  • Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner, mitigating team conflict and communication problems
  • Communicates difficult or sensitive information tactfully and to the appropriate audience
  • Maintains decorum and composure in challenging situations and can navigate project resources, including stakeholders and executives, through them
  • Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, coordinating, evaluating, and communicating projects under the guidelines of RWJBH PMO methodology
