About this role:

This role is as an Engineer/Engineering Technologist 1 a full-time position with TechSource and working with our client, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). We have a decades long relationship with LANL and are the prime company supporting the Scorpius project in Los Alamos, NM! In this role, you will support the construction, assembly, and integration of components for the Scorpius linear induction electron accelerator, which is part of subcritical experiment diagnostics at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and leading assembly tasks for key accelerator components (e.g., IVA, SAC assemblies, LRU-8), ensuring quality control, and collaborating with engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate fabrication, assembly, and testing of accelerator components
  • Lead assembly teams and help train personnel
  • Support maintenance and system integration efforts
  • Work closely with technical teams across multiple national labs and sites
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Bachelor's in Engineering Technology, Science, Math, or related field
  • 5 years' of relevant experience (or equivalent)
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T and experience with mechanical assembly
  • Familiarity with lab test equipment and basic shop tools


Desired Qualifications:


  • Familiarity with electron beam accelerator systems
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings and disciplined operations
