About This Opportunity Join our Human Resources team as a Pre-Employment Coordinator, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring healthcare professionals are properly vetted and ready to provide safe, quality patient care. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic healthcare organization while managing the essential pre-hire process that protects both our patients and our organization. What You'll Do As our Pre-Employment Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing the complete pre-hire journey from offer acceptance through the employee's first day. Your key responsibilities include: Core Responsibilities
- Manage the full pre-employment process ensuring all requirements are completed accurately and on time
- Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and required medical clearances in compliance with company policy and applicable laws
- Verify professional licenses, certifications, and credentials through primary source verification methods
- Maintain accurate electronic personnel files in our HRIS system, ensuring compliance with company, state, and federal recordkeeping requirements
- Serve as the primary liaison between recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates to resolve outstanding requirements and provide status updates
Additional Key Functions
- Review pre-employment results and escalate exceptions for appropriate review
- Track and report on pre-employment pipeline metrics, identifying bottlenecks and recommending process improvements
- Maintain onboarding trackers and dashboards to monitor progress and flag missing documentation
- Manage new hire entry and processing in the HRIS system, including documentation verification and workflow initiation
- Submit IT requests for hardware/software needs based on role-specific requirements
- Support internal audits and regulatory review preparation
What We're Looking For Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HR, recruiting, credentialing, or compliance
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
- Multi-state regulatory experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of pre-employment regulations specific to NYSDOH, AHCA (Florida), and GCHEXS (Georgia)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in UKG or similar HRIS systems
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience with electronic document and signature platforms
- Applicant tracking system experience preferred

- Excellent communication skills for working with candidates, managers, and external vendors
- Deep understanding of background screening, license verification, and employment eligibility requirements

- Occasional travel or in-person support at branch locations may be required
