Position Title: Maintenance Electrician 2nd Shift-$2 Shift Diff 4pm-2:30am-

Hiring Manager: David Dean

Location: Avon, Ohio

Hiring Hourly Rate: $28.69

2 Year Earning Potential Based on Performance

6 Months -$29.55

12 Months-$30.42

24 Months- $31.33

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including motors, drives, relays, control panels, PLCs, and other electrical components.
  • Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures in accordance with electrical codes and company standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams to perform accurate diagnostics and repairs.
  • Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for production and utility systems.
  • Maintain and repair low and medium-voltage power distribution systems and motor control centers (MCCs).
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently and safely.
  • Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company-specific safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and arc flash procedures.
  • Document all work completed, including parts used and time spent, using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Support inventory management by requesting replacement parts and assisting with stock level reviews.
  • Work with outside contractors and vendors as needed.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in industrial electricity preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and industrial automation systems.

Certifications (Preferred but not required):

  • Journeyman Electrician License
  • OSHA 10/30 Hour
  • NFPA 70E Certification
  • Arc Flash Safety Training

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, troubleshooting techniques, and industrial safety standards.
  • Proficiency with tools and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters).
  • Familiarity with CMMS software and documentation standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional maintenance team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
