Personalis is based in Fremont, California. Summary: The Commercial Alliances Manager role is part of the recently launched clinical diagnostics business unit. This role is responsible for managing our strategic commercial partnerships including our partnership with Tempus AI. Primary duties include developing and executing a comprehensive commercial alliance strategy aligned to the company's business objectives, revenue goals, and market expansion. This role will focus on creating mutually beneficial commercial relationships to drive tangible business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of business acumen, data analysis, relationship management skills, process optimization skills, and a deep understanding of the industry landscape. Finally, the candidate is passionate about patient care and wants to be part of building a best-in-class commercial organization representing the latest in molecular testing technologies. Responsibilities:
- Initiate, build, and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders at potential and existing partner organization.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial alliance strategy driving process efficiency
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial alliances (with a focus on Tempus AI), ensuring effective communication and collaboration
- Drive ongoing engagement and value creation within existing partnerships, identifying opportunities for expansion and optimization
- Oversee the implementation of partnership initiatives, ensuring successful launch and execution of joint operational efficiency strategies
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments, including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, R&D, Legal, and Finance, to ensure alignment, resource allocation, and successful execution of alliance initiatives
- Serve as an internal champion for alliance programs, ensuring understanding and buy-in across the organization
- Contribute to the strategic planning process for business development and commercial growth
Qualifications:
- 3+ years diagnostic laboratory experience - sales, lab and/or operations
- Experience collaborating with cross functional teams
- Demonstrated track record of success in process optimization
- Strong business acumen and organization skills
- Strong data analytics skillset
- Bachelor's Degree at a minimum; MBA Preferred
Requirements:
- Travel at least 25% of the time
- Must be located within geography with access to major airport
The hiring range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 per year, which may factor in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Our full-time regular positions also include an annual performance-based bonus (or a sales incentive plan) and long-term incentive units (equity) provided as part of our compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
