WHAT YOU'LL DO

A senior software developer at Merrick plays a crucial role in shaping the technological landscape of our operations. This isn't just about coding; it's about understanding the unique requirements of different teams and translating them into effective software solutions. The contributions of a software developer are vital in ensuring that Merrick's systems are efficient, adaptable, and aligned with the company's objectives. Collaborating closely with various departments, a software developer at Merrick is instrumental in enhancing our operations and ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our enterprise. Embracing the evolving work landscape, we offer a hybrid work model, allowing you the flexibility to work from home two days a week

The selected candidate will be instrumental in developing new features and applications, as well as managing internal systems, applications, and other technologies. This role will:

  • Develop and maintain custom-built software applications to meet evolving business needs.
  • Create and maintain interfaces and integrations between enterprise platforms, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, and Resource Management systems.
  • Work primarily within the Microsoft technology stack (.NET, C#, SQL Server, Power Apps, Azure, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with other developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and follow established development best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software for performance and scalability.
  • Stay current with emerging tools, frameworks, and practices to continuously improve the development process.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in C#, .NET, SQL Server, Power Apps, and other Microsoft Technologies.
  • Familiarity with enterprise system integrations (APIs, web services, data exchange).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Azure, DevOps practices, or Microservices Architecture.
