      | Job Summary | The Department of Neuroscience and the Center for Advanced Pain Studies at UT Dallas is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Yousuf Lab. 
        
 This position focuses on 
        NIH grant-funded projects aimed at understanding the mechanisms and treatments of chronic pain using preclinical models. The ideal candidate will have experience working with rodents, including performing behavioral assays, surgeries, and dissections. Additionally, experience with cell culture, particularly generating and maintaining primary cultures from rodent and human dorsal root ganglia, is required. Proficiency in routine molecular biology techniques such as Western blotting, 
        PCR, immunohistochemistry, and microscopy is also expected. Experience with bioinformatics or computational biology tools is highly recommended, though not required. This is an NIH grant-funded position, and continued employment is contingent upon the availability of funds. |   
      | Minimum Education and Experience | Associate degree with a minimum of two years hands on experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. |
