Come join our team on a new contract supporting a joint customer Program Office responsible for acquiring the future GEOINT Ground Architecture that will provide the user community with capabilities in a modular, open architecture that provides global, persistent, real-time surveillance and activity-based intelligence information.


The Information Assurance (IA) Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the security and compliance of systems across the organization. This individual will be responsible for managing the Risk Management Framework (RMF), Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, and implementing security measures to safeguard systems and data. The IA Specialist will work closely with systems engineers, developers, and program managers to ensure all systems align with established security protocols and organizational policies.

The IA Specialist will support activities ensuring that systems are secure and resilient, and will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with federal guidelines and standards. Key responsibilities will include:

Compliance and Certification:

  • Lead the RMF and ATO process to achieve and maintain system accreditation.
  • Ensure systems comply with applicable security standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure ATO packages are complete and submitted on time.

Security Oversight:

  • Monitor and enforce security policies across systems to maintain compliance with organizational and federal standards.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and audits to identify gaps or risks in security measures.
  • Implement corrective actions to address vulnerabilities and improve system security posture.

System Monitoring and Risk Management:

  • Oversee the integration of cybersecurity measures into the system lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Manage and document security risks, ensuring they are mitigated effectively.
  • Stay updated on evolving cybersecurity threats and implement security controls to counter emerging risks.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Work with systems engineers, developers, and program teams to ensure security measures align with operational requirements and mission objectives.
  • Provide regular security status updates and recommendations to leadership.
  • Act as a liaison between security teams and other organizational components to address security needs.

Documentation and Training:

  • Maintain and update security-related documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with poly
  • BS 2-4 or MS 0-2 years
  • Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity standards, such as NIST 800-53 and FISMA
  • Knowledge of system security engineering principles and practices, including (configuration management, requirements management/writing, architecture, interfaces) support
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex processes and documentation
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills to work across multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and deadlines

Desired:

  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community (IC) information assurance and cyber systems and processes, and Enterprise Cross Domain Solutions (ECDS)
  • Knowledge of advanced security practices, including data encryption, intrusion detection, and incident response
  • Possess a Cyber Certification in compliance with DoD 8570/8140
