Job Title: Maintenance Fluid Technician


Report To: Maintenance Supervisor


Location: East Plant



JOB DESCRIPTION:



Maintenance Fluid Technician is responsible for supplying, sampling, testing and mixing of fluids, coolants and chemicals. Responsibilities also include submitting MSDS, SDS AND HMIS documents of fluids and chemicals.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Responsible for supplying, sampling, testing and mixing of fluids, coolants and chemicals used in CVJ East Plant
  • Responsible for storage and organization of fluids used in East Pant
  • Responsible for submitting MSDS, SDS AND HMIS documents of fluids and chemicals for approval.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks
  • Have a Valid Driver's License.
  • Be able to drag, lift and operate oil fill hoses.
  • Able to manage their time well
  • Possess excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to read machine prints.
  • Must be flexible to adapt to ever-changing job requirements.
  • Computer skills including Excel, Word and MP2
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:




  • Must have a minimum of four (4) years' experience in the trade working with industrial automation or a degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings (Some light Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic)
  • Knowledge of hand tools, drill press, lathe and mill, electric drills, Welding (Mig required, Tig and Stick also preferred), pipe threading machine, acetylene torch, soldering iron, etc
  • Knowledge of machine parts, terminology, and general manufacturing processes.
  • General manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work closely with supervision and fellow employees
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, must also be able to work every other weekend and holidays if required.
  • Able to sit, kneel, squat or bend, for long lengths of times.
  • Able to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly if necessary.
  • Able to use common hand tools, and or power tools.
  • Able to grasp and manipulate small objects such as screws, rivets, wire terminals, etc.
  • Must be flexible to adapt to ever-changing job requirements.
