JOBTITLE: MEPCOORDINATOR REPORTSTO: DIRECTOROFMEP POSITIONSUMMARY: AsanMEPCoordinator,youwillplayapivotalroleinmanagingandcoordinatingmechanical,electrical,andplumbing(MEP)systemsthroughoutthelifecycleofconstructionprojects.Youwillworkcloselywithconstructionprojectmanagers,designteams,andtradepartners,ensuringthatMEPsystemsarefullycoordinated,meetindustrystandards,andalignwithprojectschedulesandbudgets.ThispositionrequiresexpertiseinBuildingInformationModeling(BIM)andproficiencywithAutodesksoftware,suchasRevitandNavisworks.YouwillberesponsibleformanagingMEPscopes,bidprocesses,3Dcoordination,installationoversight,andstart-up.Thisrolerequiresstrongtechnicalknowledge,excellentcommunicationskills,andtheabilitytocollaboratewithdiversestakeholderstodeliverhigh-qualityprojects. MAJORRESPONSIBILITIES: ManageandoverseeMEPdesigncoordinationusingAutodesktools,includingRevit,Navisworks,andAutoCAD. Collaboratewitharchitects,engineers,andconstructionteamstoresolveclashesandensureoptimalsystemintegration. DevelopandmaintainprojectschedulesforMEPsystems. Monitorprojectprogress,ensuringadherencetotimelinesandbudgets. ConductclashdetectionandresolutiontooptimizeMEPlayouts. Ensureadherencetoindustrystandards,codes,andspecificationsinallMEPdesigns. Facilitateregularcoordinationmeetingswithinternalandexternalstakeholders. ProvidetechnicalsupportandguidancetoprojectteamsonMEPandBIM-relatedissues. Prepareandmaintainaccuratemodels,drawings,andprojectdocumentation. Createvisualpresentationsandreportsforstakeholdersasneeded. CreateadetailedscopesheetforMEPsystemsthatoutlinesprojectscope,deliverables,andtraderesponsibilities. CompileBidMatricesandconfirmcompletecoordinationbetweentrades PrepareGMPpricinganddesignbuildbudgetsasneededOverseeandcoordinatethestart-upandcommissioningprocessincollaborationwiththethird-partycommissioningagent POSITIONREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor'sdegreeinConstructionManagement,Engineering,orarelatedfield(preferred). Minimumof3yearsinMEPcoordinationwithastrongfocusonBIM. ProventrackrecordofmanagingMEPsystemsforlarge-scaleconstructionprojects. AdvancedproficiencyinAutodeskRevit,Navisworks,andAutoCAD. KnowledgeofBIM360,AutodeskConstructionCloud(ACC)andothercollaborationtoolsisaplus. Strongproblem-solvingandanalyticalskills. Excellentcommunicationandteamcollaborationskills. Abilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesandmeettightdeadlines. AbletotravelwithintheChicagolandareaandoccasionallytoneighboringstates,withmostnightsspentathome. The target salary for this position is $110,000. We consider many factors when determining actual hiring salary.
