POSITION SUMMARY: The Supervisor, Quality Control is responsible for the supervision of all inspection and non-destructive testing operations as well as interacting with production teams to provide appropriate resource coverage for all inspection operations. This position is also open to current employees who meet the requirements and are in good standing.



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:T o perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Ensure that work assignments are coordinated for all inspection operations
  • Document control review
  • Shop traveler document review
  • Ensure employee testing and certifications are maintained
  • See that all department employees fully understand the quality program


  • Ensure that all department employees are properly cross trained
  • Evaluate the performances of staff members and recommend promotion levels as appropriate
  • Oversee and maintain department safety and housekeeping standards
  • Embrace/implement continuous improvement and lean principles in all activities

  • Ensure compliance with Quality Systems Manual (QSM)
  • Ensure compliance with Company RSM, must be aware of AS/ISO quality requirements.
  • Oversee and ensure Company compliance with AS/ISO Standard as Management Representative
  • Adhere to and promote all Company health, safety and environmental policies while performing job duties


  • Ensure the team delivers the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental and cross foundation teamwork and customer service
  • Regular and reliable attendance


MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Review and rewrite quality procedures
  • Inspection and test as required
  • Performing other tasks in the facility as needed



EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:


The specific EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE requirements of this position are:




  • Minimum of 5-8 (current) years' work in similar industry
  • Bachelor's degree (Related education and/or training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted)
  • Able to read/write/speak/understand English
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Prior experience with part 145/21 certification inspection preferred



The specific LICENSES and/or CERTIFICATIONS required for this position are:




  • Must pass applicable vision test if required
  • Certified FAA Repairman eligible
  • Certify to Level I/II every three years in at least one NDT discipline


The specific SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE required for this position are:




  • Knowledge of all processes used in turbine engine repair
  • Quality oriented
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Read, write and understand specs, manuals, procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be familiar with all aspects of the production procedures in relation to assigned processes
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to use analytical problem-solving techniques
  • Detailed knowledge of inspection processes
  • High degree of professionalism with a focus on customer care
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively individually or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong computer skills



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Gate 1 (Input/Receiving Inspection/Strip)
  • EMU Assembly/Disassembly
  • Final Inspection
  • NDT operations (X-ray, FPI, Airflow, Ultrasonic)
  • Metallurgical Lab
  • Calibration
