Electrical Project Manager (Sr.) Dulles, VA Pay From: $125,000 per year MUST: Experienced Electrical Project Manager (Sr.) 5 plus years of professional project management experience 5 plus years of progressive electrical construction preferrably with data centers, hospitals, or high rise office buildings Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills Must demonstrate ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects Must demonstrate ability to analyze and solve problems Must demonstrate commitment to company values Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with Project Managers, multiple levels of employees, general and subcontractors, and supplier partners Direct experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel applications Working knowledge of ACCUBID or related estimating software system Working knowledge of Viewpoint or similar accounting software or related accounting system Successful completion of an electrical apprenticeship with electrical or master license is a plus Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field DUTIES: Contract scope Interpret contract drawings and specifications for work to be Prepare major purchase orders in accordance with Contract Scope and documents. Prepare budget breakdown for project cost Prepare a payment breakdown incorporating cash flow Prepare and submit monthly billings and collect overdue Prepare applications for Permits, Certificate of Insurance, and company project start-up Working knowledge of incorporating electrical construction activities into a general construction Coordinate the requisitioning of commodities and other materials in a manner to promote early and bulk Coordinate and develop a labor monitoring system specific to type and size of project. Assist labor management in reporting and correcting budget problems through early warning in monitoring Assist labor management in cost-to-complete analysis for labor Assist field Foremen involving production of labor activities and work as a team. Monitor material and job expense costs and correcting budget problems through early warning monitoring Provide a cost-to-complete analysis for material and job expense Prepare change order estimates and to negotiate final Adjust budget codes to incorporate change Process material/equipment submittals required by contract Review submittals and release equipment incorporating installation and delivery Monitor contractual disputes, delays, and disruptions for early Instruct field management on how to proceed on contractual disputes, delays, and Respond to and initiate correspondence to manage and document Maintain an organized filing system to support and monitor all project management a Aid Estimating Department in estimating Assist other employees, when asked, involving projects and company business. Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established Travel to various project sites is required. Analyze plans and subsequent construction documents to confirm project requirements and opportunities for value engineering. Monitor and prepare project schedules with milestone deadlines to be achieved. Partner with Superintendents, Project Engineers and Estimators and to ensure a complete scope of work is defined.
