EnSafe is seeking a Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer to join our team in Tampa, FL.

Candidates must be willing to work at the EnSafe Tampa Office: relocation assistance is available to meet this expectation.

What We Are Looking For:

An experienced Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer ready to support and manage a design team using innovative remedial technologies to address various contaminants in soil, groundwater, stormwater, and air. The right candidate will enrich our team of engineers and scientists in providing solutions to address contaminants such as PFAS, 1,4-dioxane, chlorinated solvents, petroleum, and heavy metals for sites regulated under state, CERCLA, and RCRA laws.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Leading and supporting remedial and process engineering projects and teams to fill data gaps, design, construct, operate, and optimize systems.
  • Evaluating data from aquifer tests, pilot studies, bench testing, sampling events, and modeling to develop remedial strategies.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and mentoring others in the development of design basis, technology feasibility analyses and selection, and design plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Communicating with regulatory personnel and permitting agencies, such as Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Providing project and client management from small dry cleaners/gas stations to complex industrial facilities to major federal facilities.
  • Preparing proposals, cost estimates, and long-term projections for remediation projects.
  • Providing technical assistance to teams working across multiple offices throughout the country, problem-solving, mentoring, leading by example, and participating in corporate technical initiatives.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited college in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • 8-15 years of remedial technical design and construction management experience is required.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in navigating and interpreting FDEP regulations, with a strong history of successful project management and permit approvals.
  • Hands-on O&M of soil and groundwater remedial systems; monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues and maintaining regulatory documentation.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel overnight.
