About the opportunity

SWCA seeks a Financial Analyst to support our core-wide review and analysis of SWCA's revenue and return on investment, as well as key business lines, projects, clients and initiatives.

Your role as a Financial Analyst will be assisting SWCA's Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) with financial analysis projects including advanced reporting for key business disciplines and service lines, client groups, and geographies.

This is a regular (with benefits) full-time, salaried position. The position will support our Phoenix-AZ based team but can be remote (= distributed) within the Arizona and/or Pacific time zones.

What you will accomplish

  • Framework creation and data analyses concerning the Return on Investment (ROI), business trends and financial forecasting for major company initiatives
  • Financial analysis of revenue production and profitability for strategic clients, major geographies, business lines and service lines where the company works.
  • Creation and use of Power BI data visualization tools to enhance reporting and analysis on historical trends, improving visibility and forecasting accuracy
  • Other data analytics activities in support of the Senior Director for Financial Planning and Analysis

Experience and qualifications for success

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance, data science, business data analytics, statistics, or equivalent
  • Either three years of relevant professional experience or over six (6) months of relevant experience with a Master Degree in a related field by June 2026
  • Experience providing financial data analytics with an A/E/C or the environmental services industry
  • Proven ability to use Power BI for data visualization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software, especially excel and SQL (structured query language)

Skills and Abilities

  • Must have good communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in corporate or operational roles.
  • Ability to multitask and to work with minimal supervision on multiple projects with fast-paced deadlines.

An employee in this Phoenix, AZ-based position can expect a salary of $57,865.60- $74,557.60. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements, where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
