Description

This position supports the National Guard Bureau (NGB) J34 Logistics, Engineering & Protection Division at the Temple Army National Guard Readiness Center in Arlington, VA. Specifically, this position provides support to the NG Mission Assurance (MA) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Force Protection (FP) activities including threat analysis and NG support to civilian law enforcement, which includes the National Guard Reaction Force (NGRF)/Non-Lethal Weapons program.

The Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) Duty Desk Officer has many duties related to the National Guard Reaction Force and Non-Lethal Weapons programs, and the National Guard Domestic Operations programs. They include but are not limited to:



  • Creating executive summaries, producing capability gap reports, providing weekly readiness status reports,
  • Understanding National Guard Mission Assurance (MA) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) activities with federal, state and local interagency partners,
  • Reviewing current and previous fiscal year's National Guard Reaction Force requirements, guidance, activities, programs, and initiatives;
  • Performing analysis of current and requested requirements for the next fiscal year's Annual National Guard Reaction Force guidance, and attending various meetings.


The person we hire will need to have experience with National Guard domestic operations programs, activities and capabilities for State National Guard support to Civilian Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in a state or Title 32 status. The person we hire will be the NGB Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Lead and Knowledge Management and Information Management lead for the for the J34 Law Enforcement Branch.

Qualifications


  • TOP SECRET security clearance from the Defense Industry Security Clearance Office.


  • Experience working an environment within the Department of Defense or other federal agency (i.e. FEMA) in a high operational tempo.


  • Proficiency in using the full suite of MS Office products


  • Working in a multi-domain environment (air, land, maritime, space, and


  • cyberspace).


  • Writing or contributing to daily, weekly, monthly, and annual status reports.


  • Developing background information papers, EXSUMs, factsheets, etc.


  • Monitoring and tracking tasks and requests for information received throughemail, meetings, discussions, and tasker systems.


  • Experience managing projects.
