About The Team

This Marks Packaging Design team is a talented agency-within-an-agency. Constructed to service an exclusive retail client engagement - this group lives and breathes packaging craft across a versatile collection of brands and categories - from food & beverages to household essentials. A multidisciplinary group of problem-solvers, you'll work alongside creatives, project managers, copywriters, photographers, and production artists alike, to bring new packaging designs, extensions, adaptations, and updates to life.

This role is designated hybrid - working 3 days a week from our Chicago studio (located in the bustling Fulton Market neighborhood), as well as from home.

About The Role

This position calls for a Designer who possesses a creative spark and obsession for anything packaging-design related. You'll work alongside Directors and creative peers in developing new packaging concepts and packaging systems from conceptualization through final product. You will be challenged to flex your craft across a broad range of brands, categories, and styles. This Designer is happy to tackle any size of project - from small to large. You'll be eager to understand business problems and develop solutions which answer our client's needs. This Designer is detail-oriented - taking ultimate responsibility for their work, ensuring the quality of the work is high, and that project objectives, plans, and timelines are met (in cooperation with Account & Project Managers).

A collaborative and communicative team member, you keep your Directors, Scheduler, Project & Account Managers informed of your progress. Team-oriented - you are willing and excited to pitch-in and partner and ever turn!

On any given day you might




  • Interpret client briefs into successful and effective concepts
  • Work on projects ranging from packaging design refreshes to category & line extensions
  • Support the development of creative concepts that exceed client expectations across a broad range of styles
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and internal reviews with Directors, Project and Account Managers
  • Aid in the development of presentation decks
  • Pitch-in on adaptive design projects like line and format extensions
  • Present your work with the confidence that comes from knowing that you have done all that you can
  • Be an active partner with Account and Project Management teams
  • Ask questions, learn and grow

You Bring




  • Diploma/Degree in Communication, Graphic, or Packaging Design (or related field)
  • 4+ years (minimum) working in a Design role with exposure to Consumer Packaged Goods
  • Well-rounded portfolio showcasing an understanding of brand building and packaging solutions


  • A deep understanding of Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite (Expert knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Keynote.



Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $52,236 - $65,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Group benefits currently include a selection of health care plans with prescription drug coverage, dental plan, vision plan, basic and supplemental life insurance, a flexible spending account for medical and dependent care expenses or a health savings account based on plan selection, short/long term disability and 401(k) Savings Plan.
