Position Description Your Opportunity: As TechSource's Director of Contracts & Procurement, you will lead and manage a highly skilled team of contracts and procurement professionals who support a diverse portfolio of government and industry partner engagements. You will serve as the company's principal subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all contracts, subcontracts, and procurement activities, including those with the Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Department of Defense (DoD), and other strategic partners. In this executive leadership role, you will oversee contract negotiation, analysis, and administration; establish and implement contract and procurement policies; and ensure compliance with all federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFAR) and applicable agency supplements. You will provide strategic guidance to corporate leadership, develop negotiation strategies, manage complex bids and proposals, and act as a key advisor on contractual risk and financial impacts. This position is integral to ensuring contractual excellence, operational efficiency, and TechSource's continued reputation as a trusted partner. Preference will be given to candidates able to work onsite in our Albuquerque NM office; however, hybrid or remote work arrangements may be considered. What You Will Do: * Lead and manage the Contracts & Procurement Department, including organizational strategy, policy development, and staff supervision. * Direct and oversee contract negotiation, administration, and change control for a variety of contract types (fixed price, cost type, time & materials, IDIQ). * Establish contract and procurement policies, procedures, and performance standards in alignment with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and in collaboration with stakeholders. * Serve as TechSource's principal representative for all contract matters, including negotiation teams and executive-level discussions. * Provide contractual guidance and counsel to senior leadership and program management, ensuring contractual obligations are met and risks are mitigated. * Review complex solicitations, prepare specialized responses, and oversee pricing for proposals, bids, and modifications. * Oversee CPSR-compliant procurement practices, including subcontractor and vendor integration into bids and ongoing compliance. * Act as the focal point with legal, finance, and PMO leadership to resolve contract issues, disputes, and compliance challenges. * Mentor, train, and develop department staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment. * Drive strategic improvements and efficiencies within Contracts & Procurement and across the enterprise. What You Will Need: * Bachelor's degree with 16+ years of federal government contracting experience, or a master's degree with 14+ years of experience. * At least 6 years of progressively responsible management experience, with demonstrated success leading contracting and procurement teams in dispersed locations. * Deep knowledge of DOE and/or DoD contracting environments. * Proven expertise with FAR, DFAR, and agency-specific regulations. * Demonstrated ability to manage complex bids and proposals, including subcontractor/vendor integration. * Strong financial acumen, including experience in pricing, cost control, and risk mitigation. * Effective and concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate at the executive level. * Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q or DoD TS clearance. * U.S. citizenship required. * Ability to travel occasionally. * CFCM, CCCM, and/or CPCM certifications preferred. |
