Who is Saint Louis University? Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University is one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious Catholic universities. Under general direction, provides administrative coordination and assistance in the University Athletics office, while serving as a liaison to the men's basketball coaching staff. The individual will help support student-athletes, primarily including academic assistance and support for men's basketball student-athletes, as well as assist with recruiting activities, prepare reports, maintain databases, and arrange campus visits and meetings. Job may require other duties as assigned

Essential Job Duties
* Academic student-athlete support
* Monitor study halls for men's basketball student-athletes
* Assist men's basketball student-athletes with their academic progress
* Assist men's basketball student-athletes in maintaining rigorous academic
schedules
* Arrange and reconcile travel and expenses
* Manage sport purchase orders
* Maintain calendar information; arrange internal and external meetings and
appointments
* Serve as a personal assistant to the head coach
* Interact with the coaching staff to maintain internal and external contacts
* Attend special events
* Interact with student-athletes, prospective student-athletes, parents, University
executive management, community leaders, program boosters, donors, and
members of the media
* Maintain confidential records and files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Collegiate academic experience preferred
* Discretion, along with solid and sound judgment are essential
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Must be able to work collaboratively and establish and maintain effective
relationships with the community, faculty, students and staff
* Requires creativity and initiative
* Highly developed analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills are
essential
* Must be able to effectively use a computer

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree supplemented with 1 year of related work experience. Basketball
specific experience is preferred.
