JOB SUMMARY

The General Clerk II follows clearly detailed specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence. This position ensures information is correct regarding dormitory documentations to include inspections, briefings, equipment and reports. This position maintains effective relationships with Air Force stakeholders, responds to inquiries, provides reports and briefings, and ensures that all operations are transparent and aligned with contractual requirements. The role requires the ability to communicate with leadership, organizational management, and problem-solving skills to manage resources effectively while delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction in a mission-critical environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up
  • Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.
  • Must be able to communicate issues to management.
  • Ensure all reports are completed, scanned and filed in a timely manner.
  • Operate basic office equipment.
  • Proofread records or forms.
  • Assist in a variety of administrative matters.
  • Assist in warehouse and furniture moving.
  • Must be able to walk multiple flights of stairs.
  • Perform pre and post inspections of dormitory rooms.
  • Act as a liaison between company and customer representatives.
  • Address and resolve any concerns, always ensuring a professional and courteous approach.
  • Follow related SOPs.
  • Participate in random drug testing program.
  • Participate in company training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Beginner to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred
  • Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members
  • Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
  • Ability to follow a process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent - Required.
  • Experience in Excel.
  • Experience in support a US Air Force contract, preferred.
  • Experience with AFI 32-6005, 32-6604 and 32-6001, preferred.
  • Experience in organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and external authorities.
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Must be able to receive phone calls after hours.
  • Must pass drug, background screening and Tier-1 investigation.
