ThisManaging Directorrole is responsible for managing and enhancing the client experience for highly complex clients within the Healthcare Banking sector. The position will focus on deepening relationships with C-Suite executives, particularly Founders, CEOs, and CFOs, while also overseeing a complex portfolio of clients, prospects, and influential market relationships. Key responsibilities include new business development, deepening of existing relationships, and the origination, advising, and negotiation of financing solutions for Commercial Bank clients. This includes cross-selling the entire product platform, from treasury management to debt financing and private banking services, addressing both business and personal client needs.


Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management and Portfolio Management- Manage a portfolio of commercial bank clients. Ensure delivery of core commercial banking products (e.g., debt financing, treasury management, FX, investments). Ensure overall general management of respective client portfolio.
  • Business Development and Growth- Identify and pursue the team's business development strategy for their markets. Expand and develop continued relationships influencers, focused on CEO, CFO community in existing and prospective relationships. Lead, build and curate events that generate client value and interest. Represent the bank at all events.
  • Team Leadership and Development- Lead a high-performing team of banking professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and regulatory compliance. Make strategic decisions regarding team performance management, goal setting, and professional development, aligning individual growth with organizational objectives. Set the standard for client interactions, internal collaborations, and ethical conduct, embodying the bank's values and compliance culture. Ensure team focus on Corporate Strategy - focusing on organizational goals and tactics to deliver on the business goals and corporate strategy.
  • Strategic Planning and Decision Making- Utilize substantial decision-making skills in negotiations and relationship building. Drive strategic decisions for business development and portfolio growth and management. Manage decisions regarding team performance and professional development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Commercial banking, venture capital or Relationship Management and industry-specific knowledge in life sciences/healthcare.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years Commercial Banking in Credit Solutions and/or Relationship Management, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Sales Originations
  • Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree

For Boston, the base pay for this position is generally between $193,800-$333,720 per year. For New York, the base pay for this position is generally between $222,480-$350,480 per year. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
