Valiant is looking for an Electronic Technician III to join our team. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor. In this role you will: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems/tasks by interpreting manufactures manuals, schematics or similar documents.
- Perform such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits, repairing complex electronic equipment, and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, oscilloscopes etc.
- Be knowledgeable on computer systems/operations and able to competently function/operate in a computer rich environment
- Work requires familiarity with the interrelationship of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and test equipment.
- May provide guidance to lower-level technicians.
- Perform comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance activities to simulation equipment.
- Work any shift and weekends as specified by Contract for this site.
- Perform maintenance and supply support actions to ensure training devices achieve their full-intended operational life.
- Other duties as assigned.

- 6+ years of simulator maintenance of which two years demonstrate complex maintenance equivalent to all major areas of trainers described in the task order.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English.
- Demonstrates resilience and composure in high-pressure environments.
- Possess the ability to obtain a US passport and must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must present a professional appearance in demeanor and dress at all times.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A graduate from a two-year resident Electronics Technician course at an accredited technical institute, or complete factory/formal training on the devices named in the task order. With Government concurrence, equivalent simulator maintenance experience and education may be substituted, provided it is comparable to trainer systems listed in the task order. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Meet the IAT-II baseline requirements with a SEC+ Certification or equivalent and maintain the minimum training requirements as identified in DoD 8570.01M.
- Within 6 months, obtain and maintain an approved Operating System (OS) certification relevant to the computing environment being supported.
SECURITY REQUIREMENT: Active Top Secret Clearance QHSE REQUIREMENTS
- Take reasonable care for the Health and Safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
- Conform to all Safety Instructions given by those with a higher responsibility for Health and Safety.
- Report all hazards, potential hazards or dangerous situations, including damaged or mislaid personal protective equipment to your Supervisor or Safety Representative.
- Report Environmental impacts, anything that results in a change to the Environment as a result of Valiant's activities, products or services.
- Participate in the achievement of Valiant's QHSE objectives and targets, both those at departmental and company level.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees. This job involves primarily working outdoors and exposure to the temperatures and elements associated with the region.
This role requires the physical ability to walk up and down two flights of stairs independently.
