Position Summary:

As an Generic Category Management Intern at Cencora, you'll be provided the opportunity to leverage your academic understanding in a real-world, business driven environment.

Below are some of the activities in which you can expect to participate.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Category Managers in determining appropriate customer groups that will have access to products based on manufacturer strategy and resolving all inquiries and issues after implementation.
  • Support the Category Management in their daily duties
  • Tracks and updates all active manufacturer, contract, and product information according to department and Company processes.
  • Collaborates with a myriad of departments to complete daily tasks provided.
  • Accepts designated, business focused projects to research and propose ideas and solutions
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving internal processes
  • Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems
  • At the end of the internship, present to the Category Management team a high level overview of all the tasks and learning conducted during their time

Experience and Educational Requirements:

Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree

Must not require sponsorship to work in the US now or in the future

Minimum Skills:

  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Proven people/project leadership throughout your academic career (on- or off- campus)
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment with the ability to make tradeoff decisions quickly
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to give/receive constructive feedback
  • Flexibility for relocation will allow for greater advancement opportunities
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Good project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
  • Must be eager to learn, self-motivated, flexible, accountable and can effectively handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of computers to operative effectively with PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook
