Job Description Summary:

Collaborates with childcare administration in all leadership responsibilities and overall operations. Carries out the mission and overall operation of all program elements, including supervision of staff, program quality, health and safety.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

  • Utilizes best judgment in dealing with matters of a highly confidential and sensitive nature. Collaborates across boundaries to meet or exceed expectations while serving as liaison for recruiting and retainment initiatives between assigned program and various departments.
  • Provides excellent service to both internal and external customers by applying best practices and standard operating procedures. Anticipates problems and proposes solutions in advance. Coordinates with all departments of the hospital and serves as the point of contact.
  • Creates moderately complex correspondence, spreadsheets, and visual presentations for departmental projects and processes. Coordinates special projects.
  • Assists with tasks such as weekly staff schedule, supervising, and coaching staff in customer service and program development. Troubleshoots IS needs, manages Tadpoles, Teaching Strategies, Creative Curriculum, and ASQ contracts. Manages the 'Title 20 program', RISE Scholarship and all related paperwork.
  • Communicates with and trains new staff. Conducts new staff orientation trainings. Completes classroom observations and assists supervisors in feedback for annual evaluations.
  • Coordinates programs, performs yearly auditing in all classrooms, and assists in maintaining compliance with governmental and regulatory bodies. Oversees files for all staff and children in accordance with Ohio Department of Human Services regulations.

Education Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education/related field, preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstration of experience in leadership.

Experience:

  • Experience in childcare, required.
  • Supervisory experience in a childcare center, preferred.
