Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Strategic Data Analyst to join our GTM Strategy & Analytics team. This role is critical in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and optimize business performance across various functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical data analysis skills, a keen understanding of business operations, and the ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively. You will partner closely with operations leadership, product managers, marketing teams, and other cross-functional departments to identify opportunities, measure impact, and inform our strategic direction.

Responsibilities
  • Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with stakeholders across [e.g., Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations] to understand their analytical needs, translate business questions into analytical frameworks, and deliver data-driven recommendations and data assets that support decision making

  • Data Subject Matter Expertise: Own the creation of high impact data assets that connect customer and/or internal activity to outcomes and provide a scalable model for future analysis

  • Deep Dive Analysis: Conduct comprehensive ad-hoc analyses to investigate specific business problems, evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives, and answer critical "why" questions.

  • Performance Measurement & Reporting: Partner with operations and field stakeholders to automate existing reporting assets, creating data models & structures to support easy and repeatable visualization

  • Data Storytelling & Communication: Present complex analytical findings and recommendations in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Data Integrity & Governance: Work with data engineering, systems and operations and other teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility for analytical purposes, contributing to a robust data infrastructure.

  • Forecasting & Modeling: Support forecasting, predictive modeling, and scenario planning activities to anticipate future trends and inform resource allocation.

  • Tool & Technology: Utilize BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI), SQL, data base tools (DBT, Snowflake, etc.) and programming languages (e.g., Python, R) to extract, transform, and analyze data efficiently.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

  • 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar quantitative role, with a strong emphasis on deriving strategic insights.

  • Expert proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation from large, complex datasets.

  • Demonstrable experience with modern Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Looker (Preferred), Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense) for dashboard creation and data visualization.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a proven ability to translate raw data into actionable business recommendations.

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to evolving business needs.

  • Ownership mentality, you enjoy digging in with stakeholders, helping them solve problems and owning the outcomes and products that are created. You don't shy away from documentation and troubleshoot issues with the best of them.

Prior Experience (Highly Desired)
  • Experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for advanced analytics, statistical modeling, or data manipulation.

  • Prior experience in the SaaS and/or GovTech industries.

  • Experience with Salesforce data structures and reporting, or other CRM systems.

  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, DBT, Amazon Redshift).

  • Proven track record of collaborating with product, data engineering and GTM teams to drive measurable business outcomes.

$100k - $120k

On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.

The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
