Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumber to join our maintenance and facilities team. This position involves the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of plumbing and mechanical systems in compliance with all applicable safety and building codes. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of plumbing systems and codes, be comfortable working in a construction environment, and ensure all work is completed to contract specifications and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial or public facilities.
  • Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
  • Perform installations in accordance with local plumbing codes and federal contract requirements.
  • Coordinate with general contractors and other trades on-site to complete work on schedule.
  • Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Accurately record hours worked for certified payroll reporting under the Davis-Bacon Act.
  • Ensure all work passes required inspections.

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
  • Valid plumbing license or certification in Virginia.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a commercial/construction plumber.
  • Experience working on Davis-Bacon or prevailing wage projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and site safety requirements.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work at designated project location(s).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience submitting or working with certified payroll reporting (Form WH-347).
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
