The Division of Engineering & Architecture within the Bureau of Military Construction & Engineering, Office of Facilities and Engineering, Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer Consultant (General) with expertise in advanced professional and consultative civil/structural engineering and environmental work. This role involves ensuring that all civil/structural and environmental programs comply with relevant federal, state, local, and military laws, regulations, and policies. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
In this position, you will assist the Department with the design, evaluation, and approval of Engineering and Environmental projects and programs. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with clients, project designers, and agency representatives, while reporting directly to the Engineering & Architecture Division Chief. You will also collaborate with various bureaus, divisions, and sections within the Department regarding civil and structural engineering and environmental initiatives. Additionally, you will take professional responsibility for your work related to DMVA projects and programs, and oversee the civil and structural engineering design tasks performed by unlicensed employees within the Department, ensuring compliance with professional standards. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Annville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of professional civil engineering experience which includes three years in the appropriate specialty.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
