Pharmaceutical Oncology Clinical Educator Manager

Current opportunity exists for a CEmanager to manage an existing Oncology CE team. Utilize your strong communication and leadership skills for this important role.

The Successful Oncology Clinical Educator Manager Will:

Develop, implement, and subsequently monitor strategic plans for the region to deliver regional results per client contract specifications. Trains, coaches, and develops CEs in best practice methods to achieve contract goals and objectives.Regularly provides program direction and guidance to CEs. Responsible for overall operations of the region(s), including meeting program goals for the region as well as budget and expense management per contract specifications. Recognizes and responds to client's needs.Regularly communicates with National Program Director and Amplity home office staff, and appropriate client personnel.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Lead the CE team to meet performance metrics and deliverables as the program dictates.
  • Manage and monitor regional and individual program budgets as required.
  • Supervise regional team to ensure all compliance with Amplity policies and procedures as well as program guidelines.
  • Develop and implement business plans, maintain innovative ideas, strategies, and marketing plans of action.
  • Develop strategies with individual CEs to ensure individual goals are met.
  • Ensures that all CEs are trained on and comply with PDMA and PhRMA Guidelines
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships and oral and written communications with the client personnel to ensure optimum success of region and program.
  • Working with National Program Director, identify and implement initiatives to minimize/reduce turnover and vacancies.
  • Manage the selection process of CEs within their region or others as needed using internal guidelines for recruitment and communicating with client regarding the selection process as needed.
  • Effectively plan and conduct required field visits, teleconference, meetings, and individual conversations with the CE team in the region as communication plan dictates.
  • Implement and monitor all field-based training as required.
  • Manage Performance Management process for the CEs, including Corrective Action process.
  • Proactively anticipate program issues/obstacles and communicate to National Program Director in a timely manner.
  • Project a professional image as demonstrated by professional dress/appearance, and professional communications.
  • Able to comprehend and communicate complex technical/medical terminology.
  • Maintain the required technical expertise including competitive product knowledge.
  • Overnight travel as needed on a weekly basis, up to 75% via car and air, to support nurse teams, national meetings, training meetings, and other travel as required
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed

Relevant Experience/Performance Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college required
  • RN required
  • Pharmaceutical field management or relevant experience required.
  • Clinical field educator management experience managing people strongly preferred
  • Previous experience working with Clinical Educators and/or Pharma Reps preferred
  • Ability to recruit, retain, develop high quality staff; ability to manage turnover and vacancy process
  • Track record of meeting/exceeding project objectives
  • Ability to maximize district program goals and ensure compliance
  • Record of positive client relationship management skills
  • Excellent management skills: ability to effectively develop CE team members
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated customer relationship management skills
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making capability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and digital meeting platforms
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Must have and maintain valid driver's license with safe driving record required

Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Company's expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.

Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.
