The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Director of Respiratory Care directly supervises the continual operation of services within the scope of the Respiratory Therapy Department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration, or related field required,
  • Master s degree preferred,
  • Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy school required,
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT, credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care required,
  • Current New Jersey license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner RCP required,
  • Basic Life Support BLS through the American Heart Association AHA required,
  • Minimum of five 5 years of clinical experience in the respiratory care field required, preferably within a hospital setting,
  • Minimum of one 1 year of proven leadership experience required,
  • Excellent communication skills required

Essential Functions:

  • Establishes and maintains staff objectives/standards of performance,
  • Promotes the advancement of respiratory care internally and externally,
  • Advises organizational superiors on relevant developments,
  • Follows execute directives and policies prescribed for institutionand department,
  • Submits monthly and annual operational reports,
  • Participates in required committee actions,
  • Develops long and short plans to promotedepartmental service within the prescribed state-of-art advancement,
  • Ensures the accuracy of service charges and general business functions, includingemployee payroll, equipment and supply procurement,
  • Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s agespecific needs and provide age specific treatment and care,
  • Ensures that the department is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws andregulations,
  • Ensure that Respiratory Care is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations,
