What You'll Do:
- Perform electrical work on railcars, including medium-complexity tasks
- Install and interface lighting, HVAC wiring, communication systems, and other components
- Conduct continuity tests and troubleshoot faults independently
- Crimp connectors and assemble wiring harnesses when needed
- Couple and uncouple cars electrically and mechanically
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members
What We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical certification or Journeyman license preferred)
- 5-6 years of experience as an electrician in a manufacturing, industrial, or maintenance environment
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams
- Skilled in crimping and connector assembly
- Experience using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and electrical troubleshooting tools
- Familiarity with electrical preventative maintenance and LOTO (SAP experience is a plus)
- Mentoring or training experience is a strong plus
Physical and Other Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Frequently required to stand, walk and perform manual tasks
- Occasionally required to kneel, stoop, or climb
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
