Overview

In this role, you'll partner with our communities to ensure the highest standards of resident service, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. You'll lead quality assurance efforts, provide coaching and feedback to drive continuous improvement, and help teams stay aligned with Brightview's brand standards. By monitoring performance, identifying trends, and developing tools and best practices, you'll play a key role in strengthening clinical outcomes and supporting each community's success.

To be eligible for this position, you must live in or around our Home Office in Baltimore, MD.


Responsibilities

  • Conducts and directs QA assessments in communities; customize tools by state and community where applicable, document findings, provide coaching for compliance; identify trends and make recommendations to correct individual and systemic deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with Policy Owners (Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)) and applicable Leaders for review, revision of Policies and Procedures/applicable forms. Facilitates annual review cycle and revisions per state regulations as a partner to the SMEs.
  • Monitor survey deficiencies from both annual internal QA Surveys and State Surveys; collaborate with stakeholders in the development of the Plan of Correction (POC) responses; to ensure timely monitoring and response to deficiencies; identify and document trends and action items as appropriate and recommend solutions to correct individual and systemic deficiencies.
  • Support resurvey assessments for communities and/or departments with deficient initial assessments; provide follow-up support for new community openings after post-licensing with community directors.
  • Collaborate with Pre-opening process for new communities, providing support for pre-licensing survey at the community with the community team.
  • Coordinate with regional and community leadership to respond to regulatory surveys, audits and other external inquiries and/or requests for information; identify and monitor trends to minimize risks and prepare for quality surveys.
  • Working in partnership with relevant stakeholders and SMEs, create, maintain and promote consistent and effective utilization of all policy and procedure, operating guidelines, and updates as appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed reports and accurate records for Regulatory Compliance working with the community teams to support electronic record keeping in the appropriate repository for all state regulatory correspondence.
  • Monitor regulations in all states of operation; advise management of changes that may impact operations; collaborate with SMEs for new policies and/or procedures for review/approval as appropriate, and coordinate with regional teams to ensure compliance.
  • Serve as a point of contact for regulatory and operational questions from users across the organization.
  • Assist in training new communities in Brightview policies, procedures and standards and state regulations and preparing for state licensing.
  • Partner with key stakeholders in advancing efficiencies and enhancements for the QA department; includes responsibilities in building out, maintaining and use of the operational tools for the QA Department.
  • Assists as an ongoing project contributor for the RLDatix Suite of modules to manage Policies/Procedure and Operational Guidelines (PolicyStat with Standards Modules) and QA Regulatory/Brightview Brand Requirements (BBR) Survey Tools (Assessment and Rounding); operates as a Data Management Platform Administrator for the QA Department platforms.
  • QA partner with Safety and Risk Management for Brightview's Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI)/Safety Committee initiatives.

Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.

Compensation Disclosure

The salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in the senior living industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current valid license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Advanced knowledge of senior living regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to efficiently organize and manipulate large amounts of information and data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent project management skills to provide on time delivery of projects and reports.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in multi-state senior living environment.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet based applications such as web conferencing.
  • Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to connect and communicate effectively with associates of all levels; ability to speak in front of large and diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage projects and to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong customer orientation to older adults.
