The Opportunity:

As a software sustainment engineer, you play a pivotal role in an application's functional life. From troubleshooting to fixing bugs, you use your operations and maintenance skills to ensure that things run smoothly. We're looking for an experienced software sustainment engineer like you to apply your knowledge to our clients' challenges and their legacy enterprise systems.

As a Microsoft 365 Developer at Booz Allen, you'll have an operational impact from day one. With a team of professionals, you'll maintain applications and keep systems working. You and your team will use programming and scripting languages as you continuously enhance and maintain applications, troubleshoot any issues that arise operationally, and upgrade the systems to meet security requirements.

Most importantly, you'll advise our clients on the best ways to improve and modernize the existing systems. Work with us to help us secure crucial systems while watching them grow and modernize. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

What You'll Work On:

  • Use governance capabilities within M365 such as data compliance and security measures.

  • Analyze the current state of the governance processes and identify gaps, issues, and improvement opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain the governance process documentation, including process maps, workflows, roles and responsibilities, decision rights, escalation paths, and metrics.

  • Plan and coordinate the governance process activities such as meetings, reviews, approvals, audits, and feedback.

  • Track and monitor the progress and status of the governance process initiatives and report on the key performance indicators and outcomes.

  • Manage the governance process issues and risks and implement mitigation and resolution actions.

  • Facilitate the collaboration and alignment of the governance committees, working groups, and subject matter experts and ensure their engagement and participation.

  • Provide guidance and support to the stakeholders on the governance process, best practices, and tools.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of the governance process framework and methodology.

  • Maintain daily administrative timekeeping.

You Have:

  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 (M365) suite of products, including collaborative tools such as Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams

  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms such as Power Apps or Power Automate

  • Ability to to educate stakeholders on the governance processes, policies, and standards and ensure their adherence and adoption

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with MS Teams and its core functionalities

  • Experience with task documentation such as resolutions, root cause analysis, and solutions that have repeated applications

  • Knowledge of SharePoint development, including workflows, templates, and configurations

  • Knowledge of AvePoint Control Suite and its integration with SharePoint or M365 environments

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview capabilities and Azure Entra ID

  • Ability to prioritize continuous learning

  • Possession of excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Possession of excellent communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
